Today’s day and age we find ourselves more and more lost in what we call awkward silences. It has become quite difficult for some of us to dwell into conversations. Conversation is a two-way art, and we should practice it in all forms, interpersonal, as well as intrapersonal. When it’s with others, we open up to people, when it’s with ourselves, we open up to ourselves, and we become more honest with ourselves.
We won’t always find people who will enjoy our company, and we won’t always find people whose company we enjoy. But to those who do experience enjoyment, let us enjoy ourselves in meaningful communication, whether the topics be foolish, or though-provoking.

This is the original T-Rex breathing fires from his pores. But the picture I originally came across was this:

Incredibly Colourful Magnified Grains of Sand
Viewed at an astounding magnification of over 250 times, tiny grains of sand are surprisingly colorful and extremely unique. Each piece is either a fragment of crystals, spiral fragments of shells or crumbs of volcanic rock.
To see these incredible images, Dr. Gary Greenberg goes through a painstakingly lengthy process. First he takes many photos from different points of focus. Then, he combines them using software to produce one spectacular image.
“It is incredible to think when you are walking on the beach you are standing on these tiny treasures,” says Greenberg.”via http://sandgrains.com/ and ISI

More Zelda and Metroid Sketches by Bjorn Hurri
I always shutter just a little bit when amazing artists refer to their work as “sketches”, because to me sketching is doodling in the margins of the looseleaf college-ruled paper my homework assignment is supposed to be on. And I dont think that should be compared to masterpieces like these.

Grab the tee at shirt.woot. Also available in your real life.
I don’t know how he does it.
I’ve been working on this painting for awhile. Finally finished it up! What made it so difficult was that it’s painted life-size…the actual size of the Legos. I hope yall like it!

Movie Quotes with a Gun by Edgar Ascensão
Movie quotes are pretty cool because you can use them in everyday conversation, which is basically 78% of how I communicate with the world. I dont own a gun though so I cant ever quote any of these great lines with any real panache. At least we have pretty art to help us pretend though.
VHS Still Frame Paintings by Andy Denzler
Impressed by his work with audio visual equipment in high school, Andy recognized a strange photo manipulation technique that he described as “something hovering beneath the surface of the paint”. Fast forward to today (get it? it’s like what you do with a VCR) and Andy was inspired to freeze video cassettes and recreate the scenes in paint, complete with magnetic scan lines.
